Any chance your project will be opensource and use activitypub?
You can open an issue using an account from a different forgejo instance. You can comment from your lemmy account, ideally you can also subscribe to issues and releases from lemmy/mastodon
Good UI, good name, good ethics. I like it. And theyre working on federation
It’s one of the few places to keep track of new developments of covid mitigations, studies on long covid simplified for laymen, new open source air purifiers, safe and affordable far uvc developments, people calling out the CDC’s constant terrible job at public health, the fact both political parties in the US are pretending millions aren’t going to continue to die and become disabled the more we ignore covid and long covid.
Twitter and yes, TikTok, are the only places theres active people talking about this especially in ways laymen can understand and take action on. Theres some subreddits (some ive made) but i hate visiting reddit now.
Mastodon has a few people but discovery on mastodon is terrible. No one uses hashtags cuz hashtags kinda suck and nothing is filtered or recommended based on who you follow and what they like or who they follow so you have to wade through too much irrelevant stuff.
Off topic: I prefer chronological feeds but they should have a user customizable option to have some recommended posts in between the chronological timeline for discovery. The Mammoth app is doing this but only for the For You feed which is not what I want because its 90% news articles from big publications. I want a chronological timeline with some recommended posts based on parameters i set like “x likes by friends of friends”, “user was recently followed by x amount of people I follow”, “x number of posts by this user were liked by y amount of people i follow”.
I know this will be downvoted to hell but. My tiktok is 99% educational content since i didnt press like on any dancing or rage content videos early on. Also theres a stem feed.
There’s !anarchism@lemmy.ml and !abc@slrpnk.net
I use Rocket Money since it has all the features i need for free. It lets me sync all my credit cards and banks and see where my money goes in different groups or individually and it lets me set budgets for specific stuff like groceries or tech and warns me if I get close to the budget for the month
Oh yeah theres an open source offline wikipedia app called kiwix so its even more fitting
That would be cute
Happened to me often. Drink more water and eat potassium filled foods like bananas
@postwatchbot@lemy.lol
It doesnt have to be a federated “wikipedia” it can be a federated wiki. Look at the fandom controversy right now where a bunch of games are now moving to their own wikis. A federated wiki software would let all those game wiki host their own wikis but still contribute to eachother without making an account on each wiki.
I want to subscribe to the minecraft and the terraria wikis from my garrys mod wiki account to get notifications on new pages and i want to contribute to them without making an account on each. Federated wikis would be cool
Also i DEFINITELY want a full fledged wiki page available on lemmy so each community can have a wiki with multiple pages and nice linking and a WYSISWYG editor like wikipedia
Will you be making a similar video for linkstack? If you do could you include a section for adding logo buttons like how linktree lets you have just a mastodon\instagram logo be a button on the top of the page
Thats awesome! it would be great if you could make a post about it so instance admins would be aware of it and know they can implement it on their homepage so users can ensure their instance is sustainably funded
Is there a guide for switching over?
Use https://firefish.social its a misskey fork with more features and has a mostly english speaking community
This is definitely an issue with AI and is why it shouldn’t be used to replace people.
The real value of AI in my opinion is for a non coder like myself to be able to use it to quickly create a blender addon in python to help me do small things like delete keyframes on every other frame or add a button to the ui that automatically adds a shrinkwrap modifier to the object I have selected. Small things that are really convenient to have but not worth the effort of learning python and the blender codebase to do.
Why greenshot over flameshot? Flameshot works on Linux
ProtonPass. They’re a company thats been around for a while now, has multiple revenue streams, and has a food track record on security and open sourcing.
Another one is Bitwarden but iirc they only have the one revenue source although iirc its a tiny team so they dont need much
