There will always be negativity unfortunately. I’ve come to realize that engaging in it is a waste of one’s time and doesn’t help resolve whatever issue the person on the other side may be going through. I try to diffuse situations, but I can’t always spend all my time doing that.

As for weekend plans, not much really. Gonna head to the gym after work and complete my assignment. Same for tomorrow. Maybe start a new video game from my backlog after playing some Muse Dash. I always crave a good platformer.

The last time I flew I got a free upgrade to the exit row seat. They needed someone to occupy the seat in case of an emergency. Raised my hand immediately as soon as they asked for volunteers.

I want the clock to move forward an hour in the winter so that the sun sets later during the evening, since that’s the time I’m most productive, lol. I’m perfectly fine with 8-9 AM sunrises.

I’m discussing all this in fun. Nothing to be taken seriously here.

I prefer standard time.

If anything, it should be inverse. I want more sunlight during winter years.

We all should just move to Arizona where they don’t follow DST.

Things would get really quiet without them.

Eventually I can see getting rid of them, but for now they’re keeping Lemmy active.

I still keep my Hotmail/Yahoo/etc., but I’ve gotten my name as a domain and use that for professional communication.

It has catch-all support, so whether you send an email to hi@name.com or “XxX_360noscopegamer_xXx@name.com”, I still receive it.

Chaotic neutral here. The twist tie that comes with the bag immediately goes in my twist tie collection.

According to Reddit last year, while only 4% of users are on old.reddit, 60% of all mod actions are carried out on it. They can’t get rid of it for now, but they are working on bringing updates to modding on new.reddit or newnew.reddit (nickname given by me).

Early 2024 is the estimated rollout for this, so I’d say mid-to-late 2024 is when old.reddit is kicked to the curb.

Physical, because “it just works”. I have had a SIM fail on me once, but I was quickly able to get a replacement. Popped out the old one and popped in the new one. No fuss.

eSIM on the other hand requires competency from both your device manufacturer and service provider, and is a mess to deal with if anything goes wrong. The phone manufacturer will blame the service provider and vice versa.

I’ve had two unpleasant experiences trying to activate an eSIM, and I don’t plan on using it again soon – at least not until every Android device manufacturer does an Apple and goes eSIM-only.
