It used to be really fun and there was a glitch used in competitive and in a separate community altogether called “hax jump” that allowed you to jump higher than normal if you crouch jumped twice in succession.

One of the developers, stef, led a crusade against it and tried to squash the bug. IIRC it les to people forking the code to include it.

Finally, the amount of ACTUAL hackers was so prevalent that it was annoying. I think in the new version they ended up adding a login feature that wasn’t required. However, I had quit before that happened. I tried to download it again recently, but I can’t even access the masterserver. Maybe they finally banned VPNs

It’s actually pretty good, especially once you figured out how to subscribe to communities on other instances. I’m a bit miffed, to be honest. I was thinking about making something like this and I found that it already existed.

A few things I would change on the web interface:

1. Long text post should have a “show more” instead of having to click into it
2. Clicking on the title should bring you to the article if it’s a link. Clicking on the comments should bring you to the discussion.
3. Please. I have no iOS development skill but need an iOS app that’s not in beta.

Ubuntu guest, Windows host. Windows - good enough for most things. Ubuntu - open to neglect, unlike Arch. Easy to work with, i3wm is amazing. Allows me to do actual “work” without having to learn how people program on windows.
