I started to do it to keep the dog dirt out of my sheets. It’s the first time I have ever done this in my life. I now feel like an adult.

“fuck you im gonna die before the ramifications for my actions harm anyone”
That makes for bad gift giving imo because then they could’ve just gone out and bought something for themselves.
I do the same thing and I am lauded within my family as an excellent gift giver.
That’s only because the US and other first world countries have shied away from mining rare earth elements because it is traditionally a very dirty and polluting industry. So poor and developing countries did it their way… with slavery and incredibly ecologically damaging techniques.
New techniques are being developed in the US that solve those problems. It originally wasn’t worth the effort because we had plenty of lithium to make 18V drill batteries. Since BEVs have proven to be capable and desireable over the last decade, critical material supplies just didn’t keep up and those new techniques were just a twinkle in the eye of some smart people.
If you’d like to learn more about how we can completely avoid the slavery and pollution problems related to getting lithium, take a look at the Salton Sea enhanced geothermal projects. I am personally going to invest a portion of my life savings in that company if given the opportunity.

There are at least two different apps. Which one? This one?
OK found it.
https://github.com/jameskokoska/Cashew It does have iOS and Android apps available.
They REALLY need to rename. That first link stole their name and they collect and sell your data.
Uhg. I watched an episode of The Curse when my wife found it. I am convinced that the curse is actually the entire show - they’re cursing the audience.
When I originally typed it, I made a function for string reversal and called that. But I didn’t include it since I didn’t want to define that too.
Honestly… this wiki has a seriously difficult path ahead of it. I mean - it’d be fantastic if it did simplify things like that to let you write simple, elegant, and easy to read functions while linking to other functions.
But it’d also have to lint those and make sure that contributors don’t implement recursive dependencies.
I think you’re absolutely correct about them choosing those awful identifiers so the functions are not language specific. It just hurts to read and thoroughly makes it harder to understand because my brain doesn’t tokenize “Z10096” and “Z10096K1”.
Neat. I don’t like that the implementations have to name the function by some cryptic identifier, though. Real words matter in source code.
Who can tell me what this function is?
def Z10096(Z10096K1):
return Z10096K1 == Z10096K1[::-1]
How about this?
def isPalimdrone(myString):
return myString == myString[::-1]
Normally I would retort “But we paid money for it - so they need to support it”. However I got my Win10 license by upgrading an XP machine to 7, then to 10. So I guess I didn’t pay for it. My other Win10 machine was originally an OEM Win7 license.
But whatever. When they rugpull Win10 I will just complete move to Linux. The only thing holding me back is some industrial software that I use for work and they’re in the process of multi-platform support.
I had a few come over and I was already in the market for solar so I entertained them for a minute. I told them “OK, give me some invoices for your other customers so I know what you charge. Black out the names, I dont care - I just want the prices of your services and materials”. These idiots would not stop calling me or coming over to my house for months. I kept telling them “Unless you give me actual, real world dollar amounts, I won’t consider it”.
Those solar sales guys are worse than used car salesmen.
My solution: peer pressure. Get your smoking buddy to quit with you. Just go cold turkey - but tapering down a bit before hand might help. Don’t use gum. Don’t use drugs or patches. Just fucking quit. Statistics show that people who use quitting aids like vapes, gum, patches, drugs, etc, fail far more often than people who just go cold turkey.
So cold turkey with a friend. Hold each other accountable. Use each other as a support group. If they fail, sympathize with them but guilt trip them into quitting again so they can be your quit buddy.
That’s excellent advice. It’s like training a dog - your brain stops associating the release of dopamine with cigarettes after a few bad experiences,
Brushing your tongue is like using a broom to sweep leaves from a grassy lawn while this is like using a rake.
I said it was going to by my last version of Windows. Coincidence?
OK now keep up with me:
I agree with your sentiment. But I don’t fault the party itself for having grown to cover so much turf that there is room for conservatives. I don’t like that and I wish it would fragment and support multiple parties - but alas FPTP.
It’s because the overton window has shifted so much that the Democrats only have to give scraps to workers and that is still the best those workers will get from any viable political party. It’s better than what the Republicans are offering which is getting financially pissed on or literally shot.
… I actually wonder if the graphics cards could multiplex across multiple dp to a single display.
