Absolutely right - Signing up needs to be as easy as signing up for reddit. And same with searching for and subscribing to communities, even on other instances. Your average user wants the technical details of the Fediverse abstracted away from them. Anything beyond that and adoption won’t be what we (most of us?) would like it to be.
Anyone able to tell me which open source AI models the memo might be referring to? I’m not up to date on the landscape here and would love to know more.
1Password isn’t open source, is it? I use it and I’m super happy with it though. I don’t mind paying a bit for good security. I do wish it was OSS though.

I don’t get their motivation behind this change. I mean I read the write-up they posted, but I don’t get how they could seriously think this is a better experience for users.
Very much so. Question I wanted answered is; How much progress have they made in those five years? If Starfield has taken 90% of the studio’s resources, then it’d essentially mean that they’ve started working on TES6 in earnest not too long ago. So maybe we’ll see it in 5 more years? The thought saddens me.
