It seems like people used to suburbs see that as the pinnacle of life but of course that’s not true.
In my experience rural areas get it because they are farmers and beekeepers with an understanding that working with nature is the way to to
Looks like it would make a decent buffer in case of wildfire too
And stuff like that is absolutely facinating to me, in small doses anyway. I keep a journal and I think I’ll write a few pages about what my routine is. At home on the weekend and at work.
I like turning off vote counts to keep me more honest. It makes me vote honestly because I myself like something, not just because others happen to like it a lot.
Ah yes the anti echo chamber user: providing the viewpoint you disagree with whether you want to hear it or not.
Metal Gear Solid 2 (released in 2001) predicted our current/future catch 22 scenario. If echo chambers are left in place everyone isolates themselves and surrounds themselves in their own half truths afraid of a larger forum.
But the proposed solution is for AI to run everything behind the scenes censoring the internet to manipulate information and by extension the world.
idk why this reminded me of that
I see it as a bridge between cars and bikes, and both have a time and place. My area is pretty flat and I do it partly for the health benefits so I won’t get an e bike. But if you have tons of hills, want to haul cargo or have a longer commute I can see it. It can be a “gateway drug” for people that wouldn’t otherwise buy a bike.
My concern with e anything are the tons of batteries that will need to be properly disposed of in the coming years and how many can’t or won’t be.

Let’s just say Ram Ranch really rocks
Don’t ask me how I know but there’s at least 18 of them
Redditors already had a general smugness because they weren’t like other social media sites. Now they are not like other smug social media site alternatives.
If you don’t see stuff you disagree with now and then you’re living in an echo chamber, and holy shit some people are really are getting high on their own supply here.
c/greendawn is for you!
I heard that on one ship army men were considered good luck, guarding places and keeping the gremlins out of the engines and other important systems. A new officer thought it was silly and told them to take them all down, but he changed his mind after the ship became plagued with a bunch of issues for weeks on end.
Is there the same insecurity shown with lgbt/trans with various flags and symbols? I’m not trying to be inflammatory about the morality of either but I see similarities in symbology. One half of culture sees it as normal, the other half sees it as not for them. Both have been persecuted or treated differently at points in history. Just interesting to see it though they are very different in many other ways.
People underestimate the trades
Hell yeah! Those guys do it right, I hope more follow suit
The one I know and love is The Summit FM in Akron Ohio. I listen to it on Radio Garden or on actual radio when I’m in the area
There’s so many good songs out there across genres. It’s a shame only a few give them airtime
