    • Anderson .Paak: I know he’s pretty popular but I feel like it’s mostly because of his Silk Sonic stuff. His solo albums are great, especially Malibu. He’s an incredibly talented musician and entertainer. I would strongly recommend anyone watch his Tiny Desk if you haven’t already.

    • Atlus: Pumps out a lot of music, not all of them are bangers. But he has a lot of good songs.

    • Josh A / iamjakehill: I grouped them because they do a lot of music together but they are each fantastic on their own. Save Our Souls is such a great album.

    • Brothers of Metal: Fun power metal band that makes music about Norse mythology. Makes you want to ride out into battle. I’ve shown this band to multiple people who are not metal/power metal fans and they love it.

    • Lorna Shore: I know Through the Hellfire went viral and they are pretty popular for a Deathcore band. But they definitely deserve more recognition. I used to listen to a lot of Deathcore in high school 15 years ago and Lorna Shore single handedly got me back into it. I must’ve listened to all of Pain Remains at least 50 times. I can’t get enough of Ramos’s vocals and Archey’s drumming.

    • Light the Torch: If you loved Killswitch Engage with Howard Jones vocals then you will love this.

    1. I haven’t gone back to Reddit since the rapture. The only time I use it is for Google results.

    2. I use Lemmy A LOT less than Reddit. This is a good thing imo.

    3. Since it’s a smaller community I find that my posts and comments get a lot more traction.

    4. I miss the smaller niche subs. Yes I know that I should contribute and make it a thing on Lemmy. No I won’t because I’m mostly a lurker and would rather just close the app than do any work.

    5. I like how the platform is full of socialist/communist but it can become a bit of an echo chamber.

Overall I am happy with the change. Fuck Spez.

I don’t understand how my personal experience can be wrong. I simply said “most dogs I’ve met”. This includes neighbours dogs, dogs I’ve come across on the street, acquaintances, friends, family. At a certain point, the argument that everyone I know is an asshole falls apart, cause I’m not only talking about people I know personally.

It’s a societal issue where dogs are seen as doing no wrong and everyone is encouraged to get one. But most people shouldn’t even have one. I’m starting to think that all these triggered people in the comments are shitty dog owners. What other reason would there be to react so harshly to my personal opinion/experience.

I hate how everyone worships dogs. Most dogs I’ve met are annoying as fuck, they bark constantly, shit everywhere and jump on you. I fully understand that this is a dog owner problem and not the dogs fault. But why are dogs so special?

Kids are similar, they are annoying, dirty, loud, ungrateful, etc… Again, this is usually due to bad parenting but they don’t seem to get the free pass dogs do.

Most dog owners and parents should not be dog owners or parents.

Edit’: The replies I’m getting to this comment are proving my point. You all care so much about dogs that you automatically assume anyone who doesn’t train them properly is an asshole. Maybe the problem is the fact that having a dog and barely training or caring for them is considered socially acceptable. Most people are not ready to take the time required to properly train a dog. We should be discouraging these people from getting one. Instead everyone just fucking goes on and on about how great dogs are. No shit everyone wants one…
