What it means is that you will always have a small portion of Python devs that will stay on Python 2.
Even if you fork it and rename it to Snake 2, you will always have devs working on a language named Python 2.

Juste adding : You can use environment variables wrapped behind state-less class. This keep the code elegant and encapsulate variable parsing.
Once you know most of the Python syntax, I can’t not recommend Python Cookbook 3ed. Reading the each problem-solution-opening, you will have a more pythonic mindset.
Sucks less than, tradeoff, compromise, words I would love to hear more in my development days.
