Once I started using Lemmy I never touched Reddit again. So I guess Lemmy.
YES
At least if we go off the Lemmy definition. I don’t self identify.
Amoretto sour or gin gin
I’ve heard the term fellas used a lot specifically to delineate something as gendered. “It’s for the fellas” = “It’s a dude thing”
I don’t really want to do everything in one language but if I did have to pick it would probably be Julia. It’s slightly simpler than Python, and significantly faster without relying on APIs written in C. And has some really great features like broadcasting, multiple dispatch, and a good type system. The only place I feel like Python has it beat is quantity of libraries and support network, which both basically come from the same origin of just having more users. I’m hoping more data science types switch over in the next few years, since Julia is already great for most things mathematical. And I hope that momentum allows Julia to perhaps reach out to other domains.
I think this thinking falls into the common belief that “sexuality” and preference within “sexuality” are actually distinct things. I really think everyone’s sexual preferences are unique, and so even microlabels don’t do them justice. But I don’t think the purpose of labeling your sexuality is meant to be perfectly descriptive, it’s a way to connect with people over shared parts of their experience with sexuality and that can be as coarse or fine as you want it to be. You say there should be only straight, gay, and bi, but we could go even more broad and say there should only be cishet and queer.
Thanks for letting me know, fixed.
Or use is important here. Veganism isn’t a diet, the way vegan eat follows from vegan ethics, which apply to more then just what we put in our mouths.
If the VFT was grown for human purposes such as eating then no it would not be vegan, as they require a small but steady stream of bugs to grow. Though if you found a feed alternative like a nutrient pill then I guess it could be vegan. As for a VFT found in the wild then yes it would be vegan, anything it has consumed in the past wasn’t done so for your sake.
That’s not the definition of veganism at all. It’s actually not even the definition of a plant based diet since plant based dieters eat fungi and yeast.
Doom.
I’d be hesitant to bring back anyone who’s reason for death was suicide or substance abuse, it just seems cruel.
Red House Painters, specifically Mark Kozelek. I think the things he was accused of were from his Sun Kil Moon days, but it still sucks. Those first couple of albums I have listened to dozens of times.
Crystal Castles and Sweet Trip also have intraband sexual assault allegations, which really sucks because then I’m a fan of both the victim and the predator.
Wouldn’t it be inhumane to catch centipedes with glue traps if it is with rodents?
If you actually care about animals dying in kill shelters the solutions are to open more shelters, do more to stop abusive conditions for animals before they get out of hand, and most importantly stop breeding animals. Animals are killed either because shelters don’t want to take them in do to their condition or they are too full. You can blame the no kill shelters as well, because they don’t take in every animal. But they aren’t really to blame either, people who support the industries that breed pets are.
I only really agree with the endgame being lackluster and that’s something that will certainly improve with time as they add more mechanics that get incorporated into Monoliths. The core gear and skill systems are good, which is something that can make or break an ARPG, so saying the developers are unskilled seems a little harsh.
Until it is more fleshed out though I would definitely recommend Grim Dawn over it, which is a game with a lot of content and polish, as well as modding if it’s not enough. I would recommend PoE, but it’s complex enough that it might be better to wait the 1+ year until PoE2 and try that, maybe also learning PoE if it maintains a large playerbase and good support, they claimed they will continue to release just as many expansions for it.
Big fan of Julia for anything that requires a lot of computation. It feels easy to write things in an optimized way without having to work against the language.
I have a soft spot for Common Lisp. It encourages me to write chunks of code that are very evergreen in the sense that I could easily use them in a future project without modification. I don’t find myself using it all that much though.
Sourdough with chunky peanut butter, ground mustard, and aioli.
