But if you want to make major changes to the look and feel, that is not the apple way. If you want to make basic changes to the hardware configuration, that is not the apple way. An apple product only does what it’s designed for and what they allow it to do. But only for as long as they allow it. Apple was one of the first outside the phone space to push artificial obsolescence heavily. Which MS recently adopted as well.
But to people with very basic needs it’s what they want. Opaque inscrutable slabs with a tightly designed stack that does what they need reliably. They don’t want to have to install an OS or change out hardware. And can live with the bland conformal interface.
There is very little else like it anywhere else, outside of… Maybe something like raspberry pi os. Maybe Microsoft Surface hardware that they’ve had a hard time committing to.

I am not opposed to wealthy people or billionaires or whatever. What I am against is the companies running the show and having undue influence over the government. People like Zuckerberg have way to much power over the government and that isn’t good.

I used to be against heavy regulations but we have gone to the other extreme of too little regulations.

That’s manufacturer support. Not Windows or Microsoft. Try installing any discrete graphics card under Windows on arm. It’s a nightmare. Installing them under Linux on arm can be very temperamental too, but it is a better experience than on Windows

Are you sure it isn’t the mode? All mathematical joking aside. The median would likely be much more representative of most people. The average is easily skewed by outliers.
Even if most intelligence measures / tests weren’t horribly flawed. Most people cluster closer to the bottom than the upper bound. But every gifted outlier pulls the average higher and higher above most people. Hence the average being above most people.

So Google is selling license for code and technologies. They’ve shown no ownership of in a competitor’s product?
