The biggest benefits of different programming languages, frameworks and technologies is to reduce code complexity. Sure, it’s possible to write all the code in C or even Assembly; but at some point it doesnt become practical.

I was browsing a certain cheat market forum to see how fast would the new GTA 5 anticheat would get bypassed.

6 hours. It took 6 hours for the first cheat, other mod menus soon came rolling down and its back to square one.

If I were a parent; I’d only install a DNS filter against malware/ads to any device my kid uses until my kid is capable of understanding how to detect one. While I can teach them how to use the internet; it should be up to my kids to determine what they decide to do with it in the end.

But I do know the risks of having an infiltrated device on my local network; and I’m not having that.

Jokes aside, I experimented with making my own pi handheld, but didn’t gave me the same satisfaction as I did emulate those games on my phone.

Questions to ask if you feel like it:

How much does an average apartment go by in rent around this area? (This’ll create the assumption that you’ll buy it all and put all apartments to rent)

How’s the neighborhood? How noisy is it on a scale of 1-10?

Are there spaces to park multiple cars?

AoE2. I played the hell out of singleplayer back in the day, and with Remastered they both added new ones and improved the storytelling in old ones. Art of War campaign also is a good introduction to multiplayer combat.

If you like historic stuff; you’ll like it. There also exists lot of community campaigns

Not running on linux = no buy

With the way federation works, not much. People from all sorts of federation capable sites can see the content posted from different instances; but considering its conviniences I think its worth it.

Cool. Biggest reason I quit reddit was I hate was them enforcing their dumb layout. While there exists other reasons like powermods, If I can visit it through mastodon or lemmy; why not really?

Change email password just to be on the safe side. Make sure no device connected to your local internet is compromised. Give a Malwarebytes scan to your PC and look up your IoT devices (if you have any) to see if they had any history of vulnerabilities.

Do NOT use same passwords on multiple sites, or at the very least, salt your password based on the site. (add characters based on what site you’re visiting). For maximum security, use a password manager like KeePass.

Do NOT use a similar password to your very crucial passwords (your email, goverment sites etc.) anywhere no matter what.

This mod was hyped previously. DMCAing it right before its release date is a different kind of dick move; especially considering the game is vulnerable to an RCE exploit and the mod would likely patch it to have things move more securely.
