they still got paid and made stuff for their portfolio, while executives get to explain why there is a hundred million missing and entire studios worth of manhours in the void
i mean if you could in the future make an ai play long games from start to finish, it would be very useful to test games with thousands running at once
one problem ive seen with these game ai projects is that you have to constantly tweak it and reset training because it eventually ends up in a loop of bad habits and doesnt progress
so is it even possible to complete such a project with this kind of approach as it seems to take too much time to get anywhere without insane server farms?
no gamebryo means modding is likely gone with it
the engine has some quirks but the platform is irreplaceably easy to edit and easy to use with its plugin system, and conflicts with other plugins are simple to handle unlike majority of games that get modded
without that all you have is a bland game with forgettable story and barely any rpg elements, but gamebryo is replaced by another engine and its own bugs and faults
clean choreography but lot of the animations look unpolished first drafts and the 3d rendering is fairly bland
the current tech is really unsustainable with its cost to usefulness ratio
needs a lot of optimisation to make it work and less “brute forcing” the models
